Vijayadashami Celebrations & Virtual Performance by Rangoli Dancers

  • Online - Rangoli Space (map)

Vijayadashami is one of the auspicious festivals in the Hindu calendar and comes as the finale of the nine-day festival, Dassera or Navarathri (nine nights).

The festival focuses on the worship of Saraswathi (goddess of knowledge and learning). Saraswathi is represented in many forms including books, musical instruments, and educational materials apart from visual images. According to Indian custom, children are initiated to learning academics, music, or dance on this special day. The special bond experienced by the Guru Shishya Parampara (Teacher-Student Tradition) is revered and celebrated on this special day.
